The 1 times table is the easiest one of all, and a great place to start. Any number times 1 stays exactly the same, so 1 × 7 is 7 and 1 × 12 is 12. That makes the 1 multiplication table perfect for building confidence.

Pick at least one table first.
Times 1 means "one group of". One group of 7 is just 7. So 1 × 7 = 7, 1 × 9 = 9 and 1 × 12 = 12. Nothing changes.
There are no tricky ones here. Do watch out not to mix it up with adding 1: 1 × 8 is 8, not 9.
