The 6 times table is where many kids slow down a little. Good news: you already know half of the 6 multiplication table from the 2, 3 and 5 times tables. 6 × 3 is the same as 3 × 6, and you learned that one before.
You will practice the 6 times table. Want to mix tables? Use the practice page.
Pick at least one table first.
Six groups is five groups plus one more. So 6 × 7 is 5 × 7 = 35, plus 7 = 42. And a fun pattern for even numbers: 6 × 2 = 12, 6 × 4 = 24, 6 × 6 = 36, 6 × 8 = 48. The answer ends with the number you multiplied by.
The ones to watch are 6 × 7 = 42, 6 × 8 = 48 and 6 × 9 = 54.
